OWNER AND HEAD CHEF
Lola Marin
Lola has established herself as one of the great references of Andalusian gastronomy. Granada by birth, since she was a child, was clear about her vocation for cooking. After finishing his studies in Technical Architecture, he began his complete training at the hotel school of Granada Hurtado de Mendoza and at the prestigious cooking school of Luis Irizar, in San Sebastián. Tanned in the great kitchens of this country, Martín Berasategui, Pedro Subijana, Arzark, the Galician Toñi Vicente… and a good number of Michelin stars. 12 years ago he opened his own restaurant in Granada to show the world his very personal vision of gastronomy, with a commitment to traditional cuisine, but at the same time surprising, where simplicity, delicacy, and good taste prevail. All attention to detail, resounding flavors, and an exquisite presentation.
Hand in hand with Lola and a young dining team, María de la O becomes an attractive gastronomic walk in the heart of Granada. The restaurant’s offers are served in two different settings: the beautiful terrace, sheltered by the delicate aroma of lemon trees and a fountain, and the indoor dining room with a hall, open kitchen, and two lounges.
Located on the ground floor of a nineteenth-century palace, the dining room has space for 40 diners and an adjoining room for 20 people, which can be converted into a reserved, Carmen de Granada, an original exposed brick arcade, vaulted ceiling, and in warm tones.
Glazed wine cellar and backlit that guards the winery, assorted with national and international references.
